Curry Powder

Gluten Free, Lactose Free, Low FODMAP, No Onion or Garlic, Vegetarian

There is something so satisfying about homemade curry powder. Its far more fragrant and delicious than store bought, and since perfecting my own recipe, I’ve never looked back to the store-bought stuff, and probably won’t long after my gut is healed! The perfect addition to fritters, savory muffins, and crock pots meals, I hope you love this as much as I do.

Ingredients

  • 2 TBSP ground cardamom
  • 2.5 TBSP ground coriander
  • 2 TBSP ground cumin
  • 2.5 TBSP turmeric
  • 2 TBSP mustard powder
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 heaped tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together and stir until well combined. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

Try making directly into the jar you are storing the spice mix in and shaking instead of stirring! I love watching the beautiful layers of spice form on top of each other.

A batch or two of this spice mix makes a brilliant gift for the person who has everything or a friend with dietary requirements. Simply mix in an airtight container, label appropriately, and tie off with a piece of ribbon!
